I was performing music on the street in Seattle, Washington, when someone stopped and listened to several of my songs. He walked up and asked if I’d written them, and I had. He then handed me a card to audition for Prodigy Camp. This led me to the most incredible experience of collaboration and validation as an artist that I had experienced up until this point of my life. I’d found my tribe and finally felt seen by my peers. I learned to collaborate as part of a film crew, improvise music during live performances, write morning pages, and just to be grateful for every day as an artist.
