EEG IN USE DURING TRAVEL

Another application of this EEG project will be for daily commuters of public transportation in Dallas to create a film or interactive visual using the neurological functions of looking out the window of a moving train. This use of the project will make the case that public transportation influences our creativity, and it will give people a direct outlet for that daily inspiration.

Next Project

My project, which I’ve been calling the “Photosynthesis Engine”, is a neuroscience experiment which interprets EEG information as visuals which are associated with the cognitive functions of performance, and emotion.

The basic idea behind this project is to communicate the microexpressions and emotions of the performing mindset, which aren’t given a voice in the performance, and never reach the audience. The job of the performer is to absolve themselves of an ego in order to deliver the performance, but this system is designed to showcase the identity of the artist, giving the audience the context necessary to feel and understand the performance as much as the performer does.
